Wyatt Street is one of Clearwater, Florida’s largest neighborhoods. Belleair Road is the neighborhood’s furthest northern border, while Jasper Street and 16th Avenue make up the furthest southern border. Clearwater Largo Road borders along the west, and Missouri Avenue on the east. The neighborhood is named after its central street.
Wyatt Street is a relatively diverse neighborhood. Homes range from mobile home retirement communities to older, tree-lined neighborhoods. A mix of stores, churches, and restaurants are also scattered throughout the area.
Along Missouri Avenue, shopping options include Advance Auto Parts, Walgreen’s Pharmacy, Office Depot, Family Dollar, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart. This stretch also houses numerous smaller stores, automotive repair shops, and several major banks.
Recreation is important to Wyatt Street residents. For golfers, some of the best golfing in Clearwater is within only a mile or two of Wyatt Street. The closest is Belleview Golf Course off of Poinsettia Road. The largest and most popular, however, is Belleair Country Club off of Seaside Lane. This large club is home to the largest golf course in the area, and offers an impressive clubhouse.
Belleair Country Club is known not only for its golf course, but for its large tennis program as well. With seven tennis courts, the country club is popular with area players who use the courts for for lessons, league play, and tournaments. The club also offers a swimming pool and a fitness center.
