In and around the malls are a great variety of restaurants, from fast-food to quality casual establishments and local eateries. There is a 20-screen movie complex at Regency Square.

Less than two miles away is Brandon Regional Hospital, and many medically related services are located near the hospital. Also close are a family fitness center, a bowling alley, and Brandon Regional Library.

Recreational facilities are almost as convenient. Buckhorn Springs Golf & Tennis Club, a membership facility, is less than five miles away. The 2,450-acre Lettuce Lake Regional Park is 12 miles from Towne Estates. This park has biking and hiking trails and an interpretive center. Lettuce Lake is on the Hillsborough River, and therefore, prime wildlife habitat. A hike along the boardwalks to the observation tower is a great way to view wildlife in the cypress swamp. Alafia River State Park is just a few miles farther and features a boat ramp and campsites.

The many cultural, educational, and historic sites of downtown Tampa are fewer than 10 miles away. Museums, the performing arts center, the University of Tampa, and St. Pete Times Forum are clustered in the arts and entertainment district.
