Lutz, Florida is a residential area in the Central Pasco area, located north of Tampa, Florida. The Round Lake neighborhood is southwest of Lutz on the east side of Dale Mabry Highway, and is bordered on the south by Berger Road. Linda Vista Circle loops north and east around the home sites.
Shoppers will find over 200 stores at the Westfield Citrus Park Mall, seven miles southwest in Citrus, Florida, west of the Florida 589 Toll Road/Veteran’s Expressway. Dale Mabry is an active north to south artery and is peppered with local service, retail, banking and restaurant outlets. There are several Publix, Sweetbay, and Wal-Mart stores scattered throughout the area near Round Lake as well.
Children in this neighborhood will attend Hillsborough County schools including Deer Park Elementary, Hill Middle, and Walter Sikles High School. The University of South Florida main campus is five miles south of Round Lake on Fletcher Ave. The school offers 89 undergraduate majors, and 139 degree programs at the graduate, specialist, and doctorate levels.
Northdale Golf and Tennis Club, located five miles south of Round Lake on Northdale Boulevard, has outstanding golf on the 18 hole, 72 par course, with cypress trees, lakes and well-maintained greens.
Lettuce Lake is a 240 acres park near the Fletcher Avenue Bridge across the Hillsborough River, has picnic areas, a jogging trail and bike path. An interpretive center with exhibits, as well as boardwalks through the cypress swamp area with an observation tower provide opportunities to study native wildlife and environment.
A Flapjack Festival, Jellybean Jamboree, and a Haunted House at Halloween are just a few of the local family events sponsored by the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce. The recreation hall on Collier Parkway also has baseball, football, soccer, racquetball courts, a swimming pool, gymnasium and playground.
