Providence Lakes is a small neighborhood in the city of Brandon, Florida. This area is mostly residential and is diverse in age. The houses in this community are predominately single-family dwellings. As you drive through Providence Lakes, you will see mature trees and tropical flowers throughout.
This neighborhood has lakes scattered through the area. Some of these lakes are small and some are moderately sized. A couple of these lakes will allow paddle boats and canoes, but there is no power boating allowed. Although some of the lakes are small, they all provide for some very enjoyable and relaxing daytime and evening fishing.
There is a small community park located here at Providence Lakes, and it is for use by residents of Providence Lakes only. In this neighborhood, there is a small walking path that will eventually lead out to the main road path.
Providence Lakes is conveniently located near Interstate 75, the main highway through Florida. With the interstate so close, you are only minutes from Tampa and less than two hours from Orlando. In Orlando, you will find such world-renowned attractions as Disney, Universal Studios, and Sea World.
Providence Lakes is about twenty-five minutes from Alafia River State Park. This state park offers camping fishing, and hiking. The 6,200-acre park provides some of the most difficult off-road bike trails in the state. The park has 17 miles of progressive level bike trails for the beginner to the most advanced rider. Not only does Alafia River State Park have picnic pavilions, but it has horse shoe pits and volleyball courts, as well. If you are looking for peaceful atmospheres and beautiful landscapes, then this is the place to go for a weekend getaway.
