Palm Hill is a scenic subdivision of Largo in Pinellas County, Florida. Ulmerton Road serves as its southern border, while 8th Avenue Southwest serves as its northern border. Seminole Boulevard is its eastern border, and Ridge Road South is its western border.
Taylor Park is less than a half-mile to the northwest, and this park spans 156 acres. It features a playground for children, a 53-acre lake, a boat launch, picnic tables, Taylor Lake (its namesake), and a hiking trail that connects to the Pinellas Trail. Largo Central Park is a half-mile to the north, and it has a fenced-in playground, well-manicured walkways, open parkland of grass fields, and enormous oak trees.
Several medical services serve the community. Largo Medical Center is within easy walking distance of anywhere in the neighborhood. Others include the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, Diagnostic Clinic, Sun Coast Hospital, Morton Plant Hospital, and Northside Hospital.
Also, Palm Hill is part of the Tampa Bay Area, and it’s about half an hour from the center of the city of Tampa, across the Old Tampa Bay. Its proximity to Interstate-275 places all of the city’s greatest attractions within easy reach of residents. The Tampa Theatre houses modern productions on its classic stage. Tampa’s Harry B. Plant Museum is an historical landmark that offers both permanent and rotating exhibits.
Several cultural attractions are in Palm Hill’s backyard, as well. The Heritage Village Museum is under five minutes to the southwest, while the Armed Forces Military Museum is an equal distance to the east. Pinellas County Extension, the Beach Art Center, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and the Panama Canal Museum is within a four-mile radius.
