Oak Dr is a neighborhood in Brandon, Florida. The neighborhood is located along Oak Drive off Providence Road to the west. Homes in Oak Dr are spaced out with a good deal of land for each of the homes. Homes are a wide variety of ages and styles, giving the area a little more character. Throughout the neighborhood are numerous trees providing great cover and a feeling of tranquility for residents.

Directly out of the community on the other side of Providence Road is the Providence West Community Center. This large community center provides much of the recreation for area youth and gives residents a place to go during baseball and soccer season. The center is known for their youth baseball and soccer leagues that are played on their three baseball fields and three soccer fields. There is also a field that is used for football. During their respective seasons it is common to hear the cheers of friends and family showing their support.

Shopping can be done in two different area. The closest is Causeway Boulevard which is home to some of the largest big name retail establishments. Causeway Boulevard is a little over a mile away from Oak Dr making it a convenient destination for residents. Some of the stores in the area include Wal-Mart Supercenter, Babies ‘R Us, Comp USA, Joann Fabrics, Sports Authority, and many others. The area is also stocked with many of the biggest restaurant chains as well, including Olive Garden, Buca Di Beppo, Mellow Mushroom, and Crispers.

Another major destination in the area is one of the most popular in the region. The Brandon Town Center Mall offers nearly 200 major stores providing a wide assortment of goods and services. It also has numerous restaurants and supporting stores around the mall.
