Northlakes is a neighborhood in Lake Magdalene, Florida which is part of the Greater Tampa Bay Region. The neighborhood is located south of Lakeview Drive and east of Dale Mabry Highway.

The neighborhood is located perfectly for a wide assortment of different activities. Located off Lakeview Drive, about a mile away from Northlakes, is the Northlakes Community Center, home of the Northside Little League. The area has several different baseball fields of a variety of sizes for many different age groups. It is common to find young baseball players taking advantage of the well maintained fields throughout the year. The area also has a good tennis program with six tennis courts. The courts are used for league play, as well as individual lessons and skill practice. There is also a golf driving range connected to the neighborhood.

For dining, Dale Mabry Highway to the west provides a wide assortment of options to fit the tastes of almost anyone. Some of the more popular restaurants in the area include Bob Evan’s, Boston Market, Taco Bell, Steak and Shake, Beef O’Brady’s, Crisper’s, Sushi Alive, Sonny’s, Applebees, TGI Friday’s, and Romano’s Macaroni Grill just to name a few.

Shopping in the area can also be done along Dale Mabry Highway. Numerous major name brand stores can be found along a few miles of Dale Mabry Highway near the Northlakes area. Some of the stores include Wal-Mart, Fashion Bug, Ross, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Staples, Game Stop, Party City, Target, Sweetbay Supermarket, Sam’s Club, and The Home Depot.

Northlakes also has several golf courses including the Northdale Golf and Tennis Club off Northdale Boulevard to the west and The Avila Country Club located to the east of the neighborhood. The courses provide excellent variety for area golfers and a wide number of amenities for non golfers.
