Morningside/Meadows is a neighborhood in Clearwater, Florida. The neighborhood is located north of Harn Boulevard, south of Druid Road, east of US 19, and west of Belcher Road.
The Morningside/Meadows neighborhood is located within a short walk of one of the biggest tennis training complexes in the Tampa Bay region. The McMullen Tennis Complex, off of Edenville Avenue, has over a dozen courts featuring a mixture of court surfaces. The complex is well known throughout the region for their individualized skill development programs, their leagues for different age groups, and of course, for tournament play. This is a very popular sport in the area, and many throughout the surrounding neighborhoods use the facilities here.
A little over a mile northeast of the community, off of Gulf to Bay Boulevard, is where much of the area shopping is done. The Clearwater Mall isn’t really a mall in the normal sense of the word, but it does have a wide variety of retail offerings. Some of the most well-known stores in the mall area include Game Stop, Borders, Target, Ross, Famous Footwear, Michael’s Arts and Crafts, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Skechers, Catherine’s, Nine West, HH Gregg, Golfsmith, and The Men’s Warehouse.
For dining in the area, most can be done around the mall area off of Gulf to Bay Boulevard. Around the mall area there are numerous big-name restaurants as well as many popular regional and local options that are popular with area residents. Some of the best offerings include Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, Joe’s Crab Shack, Hooters, Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill, and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
The area is also located just over a mile away from Safety Harbor to the east. This hugely popular waterway is used heavily by recreational boaters and anglers. Access to the harbor can be found at Philippe Park to the Southeast a few miles.
