Mission Hills is a rather small, primarily residential community in Florida, near Tampa Bay. It is bordered to the south by several local streets and to the north by State Highway 590. North McMullen Booth Road serves as the eastern border of Mission Hills, while several, small roads make up its western border.
Its proximity to State Highway 590 means that people can easily access almost anything they want from the neighborhood of Mission Hills. Just a short drive away is Tampa Bay, Alligator Lake, Cooper Bayou, and many other cultural and local landmarks.
Mission Hills is a family-friendly neighborhood. The amusement park Aerial Adventure of Tampa is only one mile away. The community is also less than a two-hour drive from Orlando, which has such theme parks as Disney World and Universal Studios, with the new Harry Potter theme park. The schools in the community are also top notch, as the neighborhood is served by the well-respected Pinellas County School District.
Parks are abundant in the Mission Hills area as well. The Clearwater Moccasin Lake Park is only a half-mile to the west of the neighborhood, while Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park is within easy walking distance.
Cultural opportunities in and around Mission Hills are plentiful. The Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History is a little over a mile east of the Mission Hills neighborhood. The Dunedin Historical Museum is only five miles to it’s northwest, as is the National Armed Services Law Museum. And the North Pinellas Historical Museum. The Tampa Bay Ballet is a mere five miles northeast of Mission Hills.
