Isleworth is an established community in the 34677 zip code of Oldsmar, Florida. The entrance into the private, gated subdivision is located on Woodlands Boulevard, approximately midway between East Lake Woodlands Parkway and Cross Pointe Drive. Behind the brick and iron entryway is a handful of luxury homes. Outside the gate, residents are greeted by a greenery-covered barrier that adds to the privacy and seclusion of the small community.
The community, part of the East Lake Woodlands area, is located in the heart of many shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, as well as various recreational opportunities. Approximately one mile to the southwest is the East Lake Woodlands commerce district. This large shopping area offers various stores, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, and health care facilities. To the southeast of the shopping center, along Tampa Road, are more dining establishments and an AMC movie theater.
On the east side of Isleworth is Brooker Creek County Preserve. The preserve is designated a wilderness area rather than a national park, which limits some recreational activities. Popular activities here include bird and wildlife watching, hiking, and horseback riding. Animals frequently seen here include deer, wild turkey, otter, and bobcats.
Many area residents are members of East Lake Woodlands Country Club. The club provides two 18-hole championship golf courses, multiple tennis courts, a fitness center, and a swimming facility. The clubhouse offers casual and fine dining, and can also be rented for special events.
Shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and churches are located a few minutes to the north of Isleworth. Brooker Creek Golf Club and John Chestnut Senior Park are also about a mile north. Downtown Oldsmar is located less than four miles south of the community.
