Island in the Sun is a mobile home park in Largo, Florida. The neighborhood is framed by Starkey Road to the west, South Pines Drive to the south, Willow Avenue to the north, and another large mobile home community to the east.

Within the community itself, a large clubhouse offers a number of different amenities. One of the most popular is the large pool that is used for water aerobics, relaxing, and swimming. The clubhouse also has numerous shuffle board courts on the north side of the building. Inside of the building, many different events are organized for the benefit of the community. These events include pot lucks, dancing, card games, and classes.

West of the community center is a pond with a large wooded island in the middle of it. The pond is a regular home for many different species of water fowl. There are also a number of turtles, fish, and other animals that can be seen around the water and on the island across the pond.

On the west side of Starkey Road, about a quarter of a mile from Island in the Sun, is East Bay Golf Club. This club features one of the largest golf courses in the area, providing excellent golfing for players of all experience levels. The club also has a large clubhouse with helpful staff.

Also along Starkey Road are numerous retail establishments and many of the best dining opportunities in the area. The restaurants provide a wide variety of tastes from many nationally known chains.
