The Heather Lakes neighborhood is located in Brandon, which is just to the east of Tampa. Most of the houses were built between 1980 and 2000 and the average income of families in this neighborhood is $51,000. The outlying area contains numerous businesses, but inside the neighborhood there is plenty of natural beauty, including several bodies of water.
Within the immediate area of the neighborhood, there are numerous places to shop. Lake Brandon Village offers many different choices for shopping, such as Sport’s Authority and Lowe’s. There is also Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, and Costco located nearby the neighborhood. One of the better places in the area to shop is the Brandon Mall which is host to numerous stores and dining.
Eating within the area is quite diverse, ranging from fast food to nice dining locations. Some fast food choices are Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Arby’s, while the nicer eating establishments consist of Carrabba’s, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Tijuana Flats.
Entertainment within the immediate area is lacking, but Heather Lakes is not far from Tampa, which opens up numerous entertainment opportunities, such as the Lowry Park Zoo which has been voted the best zoo in America. Other places of interest in Tampa include the amusement park, Busch Gardens, and the Florida Aquarium.
Along with all the entertainment options, Tampa is the home of an almost limitless supply of places to shop and eat. There are plenty of shopping malls such as Citrus Park Town Center, Westshore Plaza, and Channelside Bay Plaza to keep you shopping for hours on end. The dining in Tampa stretches across all ethnic groups and includes Chinese, Japanese, American, Italian, Mexican, Korean, and Middle Eastern. Tampa has a dining location for every situation whether it is casual, or fine dining.
