Dade City is the county seat of Pasco County and home to the county fairgrounds and regional medical center. More than 71,000 people reside in Dade City. Its residential neighborhoods are close to parks, schools, and shopping. Green Valley is one of the communities in Dade City, in zip code 33525, just south of County Road 52.
Green Valley’s streets are lined with tall trees, shading the residential lots. Residents are within walking distance of the John’s Burke Memorial Park. The park features multiple baseball and soccer fields, and is home to the East Pasco Youth Soccer League and the Dade City Little League.
The Pasco County Fair Grounds and the motocross track at the Dade City Raceway are across the street from the park. In addition to the annual county fair, the facility hosts the Pasco Bug Jam, which is a celebration for Volkswagen Beetle enthusiasts. The car show has been a local event for more than 20 years.
The Pasco High School and the hospital are adjacent to the fairgrounds. The Pasco Regional Medical Center is a 120-bed facility with an intensive care unit and 24-hour emergency care services.
Green Valley residents are less than three miles from downtown Dade City, the Pasco Middle School, and the Pasco Elementary School. There is ample shopping and dining options in the downtown area along with service businesses. The Naomi Jones Pyacantha Park is north of downtown near the Dade City Shopping Plaza and the Cox Elementary School. The park has a playground, a sheltered picnic area, and basketball and volleyball courts.
The Hugh Embry Branch public Library is also downtown located on 4th Street, next to the YMCA. It features several kids’ programs, adult book clubs, and free public access computers.
