Located just east of Tampa, Brandon Hills is an area that has retained its community feel despite being near a booming metropolis. The neighborhood has great schools, plenty of shopping, and lots of things for kids to do.
Three of the best schools in the Hillsborough Public School District are located in the Brandon Hills area. Yates Elementary School is a five-star school that puts special emphasis on teaching math and science. Mann Middle School, named after the famed educator Horace Mann, is framed by old oak trees. Brandon High School consistently ranks as one of the best in the region and is a Blue Ribbon Award Winner, an honor that is only given to the top schools in the United States.
Located less than a mile from Brandon Hills is one of the most popular shopping venues in the region. The Home Shopping Network Outlet Store attracts shoppers from all over the state. Also located nearby is a Burlington Coat Factory and Walmart Supercenter.
The Brandon Recreation Center is located a mile south of Brandon Hills. The center has basket ball courts, three softball courts, and four tennis courts. Residents don’t have to go far to enjoy volleyball in the sand—the center has a sand volleyball area. A fun day at the park can be capped off with a picnic at one of the park’s picnic areas.
For those who commute to Tampa for work or play, Brandon Hills is near I-75. Tampa is about a half-hour drive up the freeway.
