Bonaventure in Palm Harbor is just minutes away from local shopping and attractions. With tree-lined streets and good schools, this is one of the most popular neighborhoods in the Tampa area.
Students in Bonaventure attend one of the area’s best community high schools. Countryside High School is noted for its academic achievement and parent involvement. Middle school students attend Palm Harbor Middle School while elementary school students attend Curlew Creek Elementary School.
There’s plenty to do in Bonaventure. Just north is the John Chesnut Senior Park. Visitors will see a variety of wildlife including alligators, hawks, and raccoons. Residents enjoy fishing in Lake Tarpon, a five-mile lake full of a variety of fish. The park also has a softball field and three nature trails. Families can reserve one of the 13 picnic shelters.
Also a short drive away is the Chi Chi Rodriquez Golf and Family Sports Complex. Children can take lessons from the pros and parents can tee off at this public course. Since 1979, the center has offered an after-school program for children. Five other golf courses are located within seven miles of Bonaventure.
Bonaventure residents will find many stores and restaurants less than a mile away from home. Target and Publix anchor the Shoppes of Boot Ranch. Many chain restaurants are located nearby as well as some locally owned eateries offering a variety of cuisine from Thai to Greek.
