Since 1979, the center has offered an after-school program for children. Five other golf courses are located within seven miles of Bonaventure.

Bonaventure residents will find many stores and restaurants less than a mile away from home. Target and Publix anchor the Shoppes of Boot Ranch. Many chain restaurants are located nearby as well as some locally owned eateries offering a variety of cuisine from Thai to Greek.
