The Town and Country neighborhood in Tallahassee, Florida is an established community of townhomes and single-family ranch style homes that were constructed around the 1960s. The neighborhood is located conveniently south of I-10 and lies east of North Monroe Street, north of West Tharpe Street, and east of Old Bainbridge Road.
Homes are fairly large and sit on lawns that are canopied with Florida trees such as beeches, elms, bald cypresses, and oaks. Nature lovers can also find interesting flora and fauna at the Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological Park north of the neighborhood at 3600 Indian Mound Road. The park, which is an important archaeological site of Native American cultural findings, is also a nice retreat for hikers and picnickers too.
