Hawks Rise Elementary School enrolls more than 800 in pre-K through grade 5 classes. The school opened in 1995 and was named a National Blue Ribbon School Award Winner for the 2000-2001 school year.

Less than three miles south of Summerbrook is the 1,076-acre Alfred B. Maclay State Park.
