Lake Jackson Mounds Archeological State Park is a mile and a half north of the neighborhood. It’s a place of great historical significance for Native Americans, and it used to be known as the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex. It includes six temple mounds. It offers a picnic area and views of an 1800s grist mill.
Levy Park, which has an aquatic center, is one and a half miles southeast of Golden Park. The Ochlockonee River Wildlife Management Area and the Talquin Wildlife Management Area are within only a few miles to the east.
