The Vintage Oaks neighborhood is an area of wide, level lots and brick ranch homes. Some homes in the community are completely shaded by one massive live oak tree. Vintage Oaks is bound on the west by Jernigan Road and on the north by East Johnson Avenue. It is in ZIP code 32514.

Within approximately a one-mile radius are several country clubs and golf courses, a major university, and several of Pensacola’s best malls. Escambia Bay is approximately three miles east.

Scenic Hills Country Club is the only club in the state to host a U.S. Open. It is grand and quite luxurious yet offers a variety of membership levels. Some are surprisingly affordable. Marcus Point Golf Course is another neighborhood favorite and only a bit farther away.

The University of West Florida is roughly one mile north of the Vintage Oaks neighborhood. The school has a student enrollment of almost 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students and is part of the Colonial Archaeological Trail project. The trail features exhibits explaining Pensacola’s colonial past and links several major historic areas. It runs from Ferdinand Plaza to Seville Square.

Historic Pensacola Village includes 22 buildings, including significant houses and a church. One of these homes is now the T. T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum. This elegant Alamo Mission Style home was built in 1907.

Shoppers have a good choice of retail areas, from local Walmarts to several good malls. The University Town Center and Kohl’s department store are within a mile’s drive. Several national and local value stores are just south of I-10. One local favorite is Beall’s.

Pensacola Naval Complex and Forest Sherman Field are a short drive south. The Saufley Field U. S. Navy Air Base is there as well.

The greatest Pensacola attractions, miles of white sand beaches, are less than a half hour away.
