Victory Heights Apartments for Rent

The Victory Heights neighborhood of Pensacola is bound by East Oakfield Road and North Palafox Street with convenient access to I-110 and I-10. It is an area of small homes on large lots, where one massive live oak tree can shade the entire yard.

Within two miles of the neighborhood are Pensacola Junior College, Corporate Woods, and Pensacola Regional Airport. The neighborhood is also within walking distance to several restaurants, including Ruby Tuesday, Burger King, and Wendy’s. Within a five-mile radius are three Wal-Mart stores.

Just two miles away is Marcus Pointe Golf Course. This lush and lovely course offers 18 holes, practice areas, and a restaurant, yet it is remarkably affordable. Not too far away is another public course, The Lost Key Course at Scenic Hills. Osceola Municipal Course is at Tonawanda Drive.

Several malls serve the area. University Mall has theaters, JC Penney and Sears department stores and at University Town Center, there is a Target. Cordova Mall has several large department stores and 125 specialty stores, plus several national restaurants, such as Red Robin and Panera Bread.

Pensacola is a Navy town. Pensacola Naval Complex and Forest Sherman Field, as well as Saufley Field U. S. Navy Air Base, are south of Victory Heights, roughly a fifteen-minute drive.

Pensacola is also a very historic town and several forts mark the history. Fort George was built by the British in the mid-1700s. The Battle of Pensacola, a Revolutionary War battle, was fought here. The cannons can still be viewed at Palafox and La Rua Street.

Any month of the year is a good time to enjoy a local festival, beginning with the Polar Bear Plunge in January. The Jamaica Fest in September brings great music and the “Anything that Floats” race in Santa Rosa Sound.
