A “must see” in Pensacola is the Historic Pensacola Village. The museum is actually 27 properties located in the Pensacola National Register Historic District near the Bayfront Parkway. It is operated by West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. which is affiliated with the University of West Florida. Eleven of these sites are open to the public, including the 1805 French-Creole Lavalle House, the 1871 Dorr House, the 1832 Old Christ Church, and the 1890 Lear-Rocheblave House. Tours can be either self-guided or guided. The facility is open 10 AM-4PM daily, Tuesday through Saturday.

A favorite family attraction is the National Aviation Museum which is located at the Naval Air Station just seven miles west of Pensacola. Visitors can view over 4000 artifacts and 150 restored aircraft from various military branches. All ages enjoy the Flight Simulators, IMAX Theatre, and lunch at the Cubi Bar Café.
