Murray Hill is a neighborhood in the Escambia County city of Pensacola, Florida. Centrally located between West Jackson Street and New Warrington Road, Murray Hill is a mixture of residential structures including manufactured homes. Residents living in Murray Hill are minutes from dining opportunities, service businesses, and the Circle Bowling Center on New Warrington Road.
Pensacola boasts 70 parks throughout the city. Murray Hill is close to several of these parks, including Meadowbrook, Tulip, Allen, and the Bill Gregory Park. Tulip Park is a green space park with no sports or playground facilities. Meadowbrook Park, next to the post office, offers a ball field. Allen Park has a basketball court and playground; Bill Gregory Park is larger, and features plenty of room for field sports. North of the neighborhood, Armstrong Park offers fields for baseball and softball, as well as a basketball court, playground and picnic shelter.
Murray Hill is three miles west of the Fricker Community Center. The center is a hub of activity for area residents and offers a fitness room, gymnasium and game room. Residents can also use the computer lab and meeting rooms.
North of the community center, Baptist Hospital offers 24-hour emergency care and high-tech medical services. The hospital is about a ten-minute drive from Murray Hill and within walking distance to Pensacola High School, Victory Park 1, and Armstrong Park.
Murray Hill is central to three elementary schools: Oakcrest, Allie Yniestra, and Sherwood. The Sherwood Elementary School is south of the Osceola Municipal Golf Course. A public course, Osceola offers 18 holes and includes a driving range, practice green and restaurant; it has been open since 1926. The golf course at the Pensacola Country Club is three miles south of Murray Hill. It is open to members and the public.
