Florida’s West Pensacola district combines residences and businesses outside of the city limits of Pensacola. Residents can still access everything the large city has to offer while living in a suburban environment. Within this district lies the Meadowbrook neighborhood, a part of the 32506 zip code area of Escambia County.
Fifty-second Avenue creates the eastern boundary for the Meadowbrook neighborhood, with North 57th Avenue on the west, Lillian Highway and Route 298 on the north, and Eaton Road and Adkinson Drive on the south. Adkinson Drive enters from Route 298, runs down the middle of the area before looping back up to create a circular roadway. Varied architectural styles are included in the community and all are nicely spaced. A row of mature trees fills the center of the circle formed by Adkinson Drive, and sidewalks line the streets for pedestrian safety.
The Felix Miga Senior Citizen Center is directly west of the development on 57th Avenue. Families with young children are not forgotten either. The Myrtle Grove Elementary School lies four blocks west, while the West Pensacola Elementary School is located two blocks east. The nearby Meadowbrook Park includes a ball field, a playground area and open spaces for recreation.
Golfers in the Meadowbrook neighborhood can enjoy the Osceola Municipal Golf Course within one mile of home. Route 298 intersects both Route 295 and Highway 90, allowing residents easy commuting routes through the city. The Southgate Shopping Center and Corry Field Shopping Mart can be accessed from the 295. Local shopping and dining are also available along Route 298. Boating, fishing and swimming can be enjoyed at Bayou Chico, just over one mile to the south. Residents also live within an easy drive of Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
