La Chateau is a community of single-family homes in the 32504 zip code. The neighborhood is located just east of the Pensacola Regional Airport off of Chablis Lane. Many of the homes back up to a small lake and have views of the water and local wildlife. Chablis Lane ends at a cul de sac, and therefore traffic is local and limited. Children can be found riding bikes or playing throughout the community.

Residents can shop on nearby Langley Avenue. Local retails stores and businesses are within a ten minute drive from home. The Cordova Square Mall is an indoor mall with many popular stores. The mall has a variety of national anchors and local retailers less then thirty minutes from the neighborhood on State Road 289. Surrounding the mall are free-standing box stores and other retailers. National and local restaurants are clustered around the mall along with a movie theater.

Pensacola has many colleges and universities within its boarders and all are close to La Chateau. However, Pensacola State College is a short fifteen-minute drive from the neighborhood.

Community members who enjoy the outdoors have many options. The YMCA Northeast is also off of Langley Avenue and is a five- to ten-minute drive away. Pensacourt Racquet and Fitness Center, a private tennis center, is next to the YMCA. Hitzman Optimist Park is also on Langley Avenue with picnic shelters, ball fields and a playground.

Scenic Highway winds its way around Escambia Bay. Those who enjoy water activities can find parks, marinas, and beaches along the coast. Bay Bluffs Preserve is a park with boardwalks and beach access just a short drive south on Scenic Highway. Golfers enjoy Summit Golf, a driving range south of the airport, or head northward toward Marcus Point and Scenic Hills Country Club.
