Kingswood Court is a winding, fenced street that exits at both East Olive Road to the north and Tippin Avenue to the east. Enclosed in this area is the Kingswood neighborhood, which contains various housing accommodations from condo developments to single-family brick homes. The community is located approximately six miles northeast of downtown Pensacola, Florida in Escambia County. It is a centrally located neighborhood with Ferry Pass to the west and Escambia Bay about two miles to the east.

Along East Olive Road are various small businesses. Less than half a mile to the northeast is Shady Terrace Park which provides a playground and picnic areas. It is a small park right in the heart of the Shady Terrace neighborhood that is mainly used by local residents.

Kingswood has a rural atmosphere; however, there are small businesses nearby, including a convenience store within walking distance of Kingswood just to the east on East Olive Road. Public schools in the Kingswood area include Ferry Pass Elementary, Ferry Pass Middle School, and Washington High School. Popular shopping venues for residents include University Mall, located about two miles southwest, and the Cordova Mall, approximately two miles to the south.

Also to the south about two miles of Kingswood are Pensacola State College (next to the Cordova Mall) and the Pensacola Regional Airport. Just north of the airport is Hitzman-Optimist Park where Kingswood residents can take advantage of the athletic fields and large playground. With Kingswood ideally situated just north of Interstate 10, the college, and airport, this neighborhood is popular for commuters, college students, and families.
