The Deer Run neighborhood of Pensacola, Florida lies on the far northern portion of the city, part of the 32514 zip code area of Escambia County.
The Deer Run community consists of the western half of Deedra Avenue, which ends in a cul-de-sac off Motley Court. A densely wooded area separates the western border of the neighborhood from other homes in the area. Homes sit on large lots while mature trees add shade and privacy. Long driveways allow homes to sit back from the streets, and there are sidewalks available for walkers.
Motley Court provides access to East 10 Mile Road, one street to the south of Deer Run. Ashton Brosnaham Park and the Pensacola Futbol Club are one mile west on Chris Black Drive. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the Scenic Hills Country Club, which lies less than a mile to the east of the community. The University of West Florida sits just over a mile east of Deer Run.
Residents can use Chemstrand Road or Guidy Lane off 10 Mile Road to reach Highway 90, less than one mile to the south. Drummond Park and the John R. Jones Athletic Complex lie south of Highway 90 between the two access roads. A Winn-Dixie market is available on Chemstrand Road, just before the intersection with the highway. Heading east on Highway 90 will bring residents to the University Town Center, which includes a Kohl’s and a Target.
Macky Bay and Escambia Bay are both less than four miles east of Deer Run, and Interstate 10 provides a bridge across the bay area. The Pensacola Regional Airport is just over six miles southeast of the neighborhood, south of Interstate 10.
