Hunters Lake Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Hunters Lake is a newer neighborhood two miles inland from Macky Bay, a portion of the larger Escambia Bay, in Pensacola, Florida. Escambia Bay, fed by the Escambia River, is connected to the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico via Pensacola Bay. This area in Escambia County is in the 32514 zip code.
East 10 Mile Road is the northern border for the Hunters Lake area. The neighborhood is east of Signal Hill Road. Bobwhite Drive is outside the southern boundary. Large residential sites here are surrounded on the south and west by dense woods.
East 10 Mile Road becomes Greenbrier Boulevard after it passes Guidy Lane. Greenbrier ends at the western edge of the University of Florida Campus. However, access into the campus is only available on University Parkway. The large campus area includes restaurants, multiple recreational areas and a US Post Office.
Guidy Lane provides a direct route to Highway 90, East 9 Mile Road. Highway 90 allows Hunters Lake residents to reach the University and Macky Bay. It also creates a river bridge to Saultsman Cove and Saultsman Bayou for additional recreational opportunities.
Both 10 Mile Road and 9 Mile Road cross Highway 29 for a direct route into the City of Pensacola. 9 Mile Road also intersects Interstate 10 approximately five miles from Hunters Lake.
The LD McArthur Elementary School is nearby for students. Highway 90 offers a number of local businesses and restaurants all along the route. The Lowe’s Shopping Center and the Nine Mile Square Center are also close by for quick shopping trips. Golfers will enjoy having Scenic Hills Country Club minutes from home.
