About three miles south is one of Kissimmee’s oldest and most affordable public golf courses, Kissimmee Golf Club. Located near the municipal airport, this course has been open since 1940. A newer course is Kissimmee Oaks Golf Club.

For other outdoor recreational activities, Lake Kissimmee State Park provides boating, fishing, and 13 miles of trails with six miles of equestrian trails. Allen David Broussard Catfish Creek on Lake Wades Ridge is an 8,000-acre park and a great place to watch wildlife. There are hiking and equestrian trails here, as well.

Kissimmee Civic Center is a multi-purpose facility where many shows and sporting events are held throughout the year. The Civic Center includes a fitness center and gym. Bob Makinson Aquatic Center has lap lanes, water slides, and a water play area. It is available for private parties and children’s birthday parties.
