Swannanoa is a small residential neighborhood located on the west side of Joker Marchant Stadium in northern Lakeland, Florida. The neighborhood is centered around Swannanoa Street, which can be accessed via Lakeland Hills Boulevard on the eastern boundary. Nearby neighborhoods include Tigertown, Pinehurst, and Granada.
Lakeland, Florida is known for its multiple lakes, the largest of which is Lake Parker. This popular waterway is situated on the eastern border of Joker Marchant Stadium and Tigertown – only minutes away from Swannanoa. North of the stadium and adjacent to the Granada neighborhood is Lake Parker Park. The large facility provides residents with a boat ramp and areas for bank fishing. Encompassed in the 33805 zip code of Polk County, Swannanoa children are within proximity to area schools. Less than a mile to the north is North Lakeland Elementary and approximately three miles to the southwest is Kathleen High School. Also southwest of the community is Lincoln Avenue Academy, which serves elementary-age children and has received one of the highest ratings among Lakeland schools. The area south of the neighborhood also holds Lawton Chiles Middle Academy. This magnet school is located in historic downtown and provides an alternative to the conventional Lakeland public school system.
