Less than a mile to the north is North Lakeland Elementary and approximately three miles to the southwest is Kathleen High School. Also southwest of the community is Lincoln Avenue Academy, which serves elementary-age children and has received one of the highest ratings among Lakeland schools. The area south of the neighborhood also holds Lawton Chiles Middle Academy. This magnet school is located in historic downtown and provides an alternative to the conventional Lakeland public school system.
