The park is commonly used by active North Orange residents for walking, running, and cycling but is best known for housing these cultural attractions.

The Orlando Science Center, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Orlando Museum of Art, Manello Museum of Folk Art, and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra are all located around Loch Haven Park. Many of the Orlando elite travel to this area on a nightly basis to enjoy one of the numerous offerings. It is also a popular destination of many area schools for field trips due to the numerous cultural and educational opportunities available.
