The Orlando neighborhood of North Orange is situated along Interstate 4, to the south of Fairbanks Avenue and north of Colonial Drive. The community’s proximity to Interstate 4 gives residents quick access to a wide assortment of area offerings.
North Orange is located in the heart of some of the best cultural attractions in Orlando. Within the neighborhood itself is Theatre Downtown. This theater presents numerous major Broadway-style shows like Chicago, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and many others. Also off Orange Avenue is the Florida Hospital of Orlando. This hospital provides much of the major medical care for area residents. The medical complex provides many of the jobs occupied by a large number of doctors, nurses, and support staff who live nearby.
Just east of North Orange is Orlando Loch Haven Park. This incredible park is the cultural hub of Orlando and provides one of the highest concentrations of cultural attractions in the entire state of Florida. The park is commonly used by active North Orange residents for walking, running, and cycling but is best known for housing these cultural attractions.
The Orlando Science Center, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Orlando Museum of Art, Manello Museum of Folk Art, and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra are all located around Loch Haven Park. Many of the Orlando elite travel to this area on a nightly basis to enjoy one of the numerous offerings. It is also a popular destination of many area schools for field trips due to the numerous cultural and educational opportunities available.
