Lake Mann Gardens Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Lake Mann Gardens is a small residential community of only about 400 mostly African-American residents. The area is known for having primarily young, growing families.
The large number of children in the area makes it a haven for laughter and constant play. It is common to find children throughout the streets riding bikes, playing sports, and simply playing with their friends. Since many of these children grew up together in the neighborhood, many of the families know one another well and have family get-togethers.
Close proximity to several major roadways makes it is easy for Lake Mann Gardens locals to access some of the best venues in the area. By going north only a few miles to the East to West Expressway, locals are able to quickly get to Interstate 4, which is the major roadway for much of the entertainment in the Orlando area. From I-4, commuters are able to reach Disney World, Sea World, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and numerous other major venues in the area.
Also important to the community is Valencia Community College, which is located a few miles to the west of Lake Mann Gardens. The college provides a wide range of degree programs and certificates as well as regular workshops for area residents. Valencia is a large college and brings in students from the entire Orlando region looking to further their education.
Recreation in Lake Mann Gardens normally involves traveling a few miles outside the neighborhood to Dr. Sylvester Hankins Park to the southeast. The small park has a baseball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a swimming pool. Several covered picnic areas also make the area popular for parties and cookouts.
