The homes of Greater Pines are new, upscale, contemporaries set on large, open lawns that are immaculately landscaped. Sidewalks run throughout the neighborhood, making it quite pleasant to walk to Lost Lake within the neighborhood, or other nearby attractions. The Lake Minneola Scenic Trail/Clermont Trail runs along Citrus Tower Road to the west.
Greater Pines is bound by Loblolly Lane, Hancock Road, Lost Lake Road, and Golden Aster Street in zip code 34711.
Along the south boundary, Lost Lake Road, is a rather unique neighbor – a stable! Southern Cross Stables offers boarding facilities and other routine services. That’s great for those who own a horse. But Southern Cross also leases horses. In addition to the on-site facilities, they sponsor off-location rides as well.
Just west of the neighborhood are other services including small medical facilities, a spa, restaurants, and a pharmacy. There is a Walmart Supercenter here as well. About two miles west are three large lakes and each provides something special for residents. Lake Minneola has Waterfront Park and is part of the Rails to Trails system. There is a swimming beach here, and this lake has a year-round wakeboarding school. Lake Minnehaha and Lake Louisa both offer boating and fishing. Lake Louisa State Park has 15 miles of equestrian trails and 20 miles of hiking trails.
From local farmers markets to exciting new upscale retail centers, shoppers have plenty of choices. Downtown Clermont’s Farmers Market offers lots of local produce and has a festive air, with local vendors preparing food on site. For destination shopping and entertainment, Pointe Orlando, about a half-hour drive, is the place to go. From improv comedy clubs to blues bars to the performing arts there is something for almost every whim. Pointe Orlando also has great shopping and dining.
