Tomyn Boulevard borders the community to the north, Covered Bridge Drive to the south, Maguire Road to the east, and Windermere Road to the west. It is 12 miles from downtown Florida, and five miles from the Lake Apopka shoreline.

About a mile from the community, George Bailey Park is home to several youth league baseball and softball fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Residents enjoy close access to many small lakes, including Lake Olympia and Starke Lake, which is popular for boat fishing, shoreline fishing, and water skiing. One of the area’s most unique recreation amenities is West Orange Trail, a 22-mile rail-trail used by cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders.
Several restaurants are located within biking distance along Maguire Road. For shopping, it’s two miles northeast to West Oaks Mall, a regional shopping center anchored by Dillard’s and Sears. An adjacent strip mall houses several chain stores, including a Best Buy. A 14-theater cinema is also nearby. For a one-of-a-kind theater experience, locals head to the West Orange 5. The cinema allows viewers to drink beer and wine, and offers separate child-friendly viewing areas.
Residents move to Brookestone for a family-oriented atmosphere several miles from a major urban area.
