Orange Park, FL Apartments for Rent

Orange Park, Florida is a Jacksonville suburb, located just 11 miles away on the St. Johns River. The river is unique because it flows from south to north, one of only two that do so. Orange Park, once called Laurel Grove, was founded in 1877. It was named Orange Park due to the orange groves in the area. The Great Freeze of 1894 destroyed the groves, and now Orange Park is a suburban community with only a few packing facilities and wholesalers still remaining.

With several great hiking and biking trails, one stands out: the Sweet Potato Challenge Road Biking Trail. It contains trail lengths ranging from 35 to 55 miles, depending on your skill level. This diverse trail may begin next to a four-lane highway and end in a beautiful rural field.

Orange Park Mall offers a wide variety of restaurants and over 100 specialty and large retailers. Other small businesses and shopping areas are located throughout the community. Orange Park public schools are A-rated, making this an ideal place to live.
