Central Business District Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Central Business District in Orlando, Florida is framed by the East to West Expressway to the south, Interstate 4 to the west, Lake Ivanhoe to the north, and a large number of streets on the east.
The Central Business District of Orlando is a highly active area in the city with numerous major venues nearby. One of the largest and most noticeable venues in the area is Amway Arena. This large arena is the old home to the professional basketball team, the Orlando Magic. It is also one of the most popular venues in the area for the major concerts and events that come to town.
Located to the east of Amway Arena is the Orlando Youth Theatre. This theatre is extremely popular for youth looking to act and get involved in music, dance, and theater. The large venue is not only a place for classes, but also a place for performances. Throughout the year, there are many classes that help the young students learn their craft and then offer a performance for the community. The shows are often well done and popular with residents of the area, regardless of whether or not they’re related to anyone in the show.
Amway Center is also in the area. This much larger venue has replaced Amway Arena as the home for the Orlando Magic. This massive arena is easily visible from Interstate 4 and draws many people from around the surrounding area. Amway Center offers numerous concerts and events, as well.
Next to Amway Center is one of the little-known history museums in the area. Owned by Past, Incorporated, The Well’s Built Museum is a truly impressive museum of black history. The major focus is on black history in the Orlando area and has numerous artifacts that date back to the beginning of the city. Tours are available upon request.
