Pine Forest is a heavily wooded residential / industrial / commercial area not far from the St. John’s River southeast from downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The residential area is surrounded on three sides by industrial and commercial buildings.

There are only a few public schools in Florida that have received a GreatSchools Rating of 8 out of 10 or higher and this school is one of them. Zhang’s Chinese Buffet is the most notable restaurant in the area.

On the north side of the area is Pine Forest Park that features a pool and a baseball diamond. There are four other parks in the immediate area.

There are four golf courses nearby, including the San Jose Country Club.

Interstate 95 is nearby giving access to events and attractions in both downtown Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach.

Along nearby St. Johns River is the Southbank Riverwalk which is a 1.2 mile zigzag boardwalk where you catch beautiful views of downtown Jacksonville, or check out the hotels, restaurants, shops and theaters that line the boardwalk. There are also river ferry services available.
