Wilson Gardens is a medium-sized, moderately populated community of Melbourne. It encompasses the 32935 zip code and is a primarily residential neighborhood. It’s only about two miles west of the beach, allowing residents easy access to it by car or public transportation. It’s just east of the Kissimmee Highway, connecting residents of Wilson Gardens to the greater Melbourne area.
The Melbourne International Airport is only a little over three miles southeast of the neighborhood. It’s the closest commercial airport to Port Canaveral, and it hosts both Delta Air Lines and Delta Connections to locations in 94 countries every day.

The massive River Lakes Conservation Area is just a few miles west of Wilson Gardens. The 36,156-acre conservation area holds Washington Lake, Poinsett Lake and Winder Lake. It has a plethora of wildlife and plentiful wetland communities. Bird watchers are welcome in the park, and families and adventurers can rent canoes and other boats for use on the lakes within the River Lakes Conservation Area.
In addition to being naturally rich, Wilson Gardens and the surrounding areas are culturally wealthy as well. The Brevard Museum of Art and Science: Children’s Science Center is an educationally significant museum with rotating and permanent exhibits for family members of all ages. The Rossetter House Museum is a historical museum and local landmark, located only two miles east of Wilson Gardens.
