Pinewood Village is a neighborhood located in Melbourne. This Florida community is located south of Parkway Drive. The streets in the neighborhood all have the names of birds. The streets have sidewalks and are lined with small palm trees.
Pinewood Village is a residential neighborhood. It contains single-family homes as well as condos. The homes are small and close together, and the condos resemble apartments. The condos are either on the first or second floor and have around 700 square feet of space This is an affordable neighborhood for first-time home buyers. Parkway Drive has public bus service. As far as highways, I-95 is located to the west of this neighborhood.
Ascension Catholic Church is located to the southeast of the Pinewood Village neighborhood. Beyond the fact that it is a great place to worship, it brings something even more entertaining to the residents of Pinewood Village: bingo. On Monday and Thursday evenings, the parish hall comes alive with the sound of B-14 and G-60.
The closest grocery store is a Walmart Neighborhood Market on the corner of Post Road and North Wickham Road, northwest of the neighborhood. There is also a Sonic Drive-In on the opposite corner. Melbourne Square, eight miles from the Pinewood Village community, is a great place to do some mall shopping. It has a wide variety of stores, including The Body Shop, Coach, Macy’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Wickham Park offers plenty of opportunities for visitors to enjoy the great outdoors. The park has almost 400 acres and offers campsites with hookups. There are trails that meander through the open areas and pine woods. There is almost nothing that can’t be done in Wickham Park. Among its features are two lakes, a dog park, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, and open fields for games.
