Grandview Heights is next to the Indian River on the north side of Cocoa in Brevard County. The neighborhood is off of Indian River Drive and just south of Bennett Causeway. Central Cocoa is three minutes away by car, and Rockledge is 13 minutes away.
The community has plenty of shade trees and gardens, as well as river access with small docks for fishing and boating. Shopping is available nearby at Cocoa Commons, and the Cocoa/Rockledge bus line makes a stop nearby.
Public education is provided by the Brevard County School District. Children can attend Cambridge Elementary Magnet School, Clearlake Middle School, or Cocoa High School. Private and alternative schools in the area include Bethel Christian Academy, which offers pre-K through grade 11, and K-12 Christian Heritage Academy. Crosswinds Rainwater School also serves girls at the middle school and high school levels. College students can attend Brevard Community College’s Cocoa campus.
Religious services in the area can be found at Calvary Baptist Church, Messiah Evangelical Lutheran, Central Church of Christ, Pentecostals Church, and Bethel Baptist Church.
The closest library is the Central Brevard Library on Forrest Avenue, which offers free internet, public computer services, meeting rooms, study areas, and a genealogy center.
Residents of Grandview Heights are just a short drive from Cocoa Beach. Beachgoers can swim, surf, fish, or visit the Cocoa Beach Pier for dining and entertainment. Baseball fans can watch the Brevard County Manatees at Space Coast Stadium.
Historic Cocoa Village is not far from the neighborhood, and it offers shopping and gourmet restaurants among historic Victorian buildings. Visitors can shop for antiques, browse in local art galleries, or listen to a free concert at the Riverside Park gazebo next to the village.
