As the name Forest Lake Village implies, this collection of upscale homes off of Spyglass Hill Road is surrounded by its own mini-forest of hardwood trees. Some of these Tuscan-inspired homes also front a small man-made lake. Wild Flower Drive gently curves into the eastern end of the neighborhood from Forest Lake Avenue. The other way in is Camelot Court, which connects to the other main roadway, Worthington Spring Road.
Forest Lake Village is a land of well-tended gardens, lush lawns, and swimming pools enclosed in atrium-like glass structures. The layout of the streets, curved and mostly ending in cul-de-sacs, keeps through-traffic to a minimum. Lots are irregularly shaped and average a quarter of an acre. Trees within the development, both on the street and in front and backyards, provide shade and privacy.
Forest Lake Avenue leads south to North Wickham Road. A frequent bus service is offered along this roadway from the Space Coast Area Transit system, locally referred to as SCAT. The Suntree Country Club lies on the south side of this same roadway, offering two 18-hole championship-caliber golf courses, a tennis club, pool area, and on-site restaurants. This roadway also leads west to Quest Elementary, the closest school, and Interstate 95. Following the latter highway north leads to Viera High School and Avenue Viera, the closest mall.
North Wickham Road is also the main connector to the coast, intersecting with the Pineda Causeway that crosses the Indian River en route to the barrier islands. Along the way, it passes by another mall, Beall’s Outlet, and dozens of fast food and locally-owned restaurants.
