Forest Hill is a small community next to the Indian River, just south of the historic Village of Cocoa. This Florida neighborhood is a two-minute drive from downtown Cocoa and just over an hour from Daytona.
The location of Forest Hill community gives residents easy access to the beach. The Merritt Island Causeway is only one mile away and brings travelers to Cocoa Beach. Residents and visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, visiting the tiki bar, and relaxing on the beach’s pier.
There are plenty of attractions in the area, including the Kennedy Space Center, Sea World, and Disney World. Outdoor activities and water sports run year-round and include parasailing, jet-skiing, surfing, fishing, and boat charters. Film and theater buffs enjoy the Cocoa Village Playhouse and the Film in the Park Series.
The Forest Hill neighborhood has plenty of amenities within walking distance, including grocery stores, pharmacies, bars, and restaurants. A short drive to the town of Cocoa brings residents to the popular Cocoa Riverfront Park, which has gazebos, sculpted gardens, and stone paths. Cocoa also has plenty of shops and restaurants, in addition to historic buildings that display Victorian architecture.
Public education for neighborhood children is provided by the Brevard County School District. Nearby public and private schools include Cambridge Elementary Magnet School, Cocoa High School, Space Coast Christian Academy, Clearlake Middle School, Saturn Elementary School, St. Mark’s Episcopal Academy, and Endeavor Elementary School. For higher education, Brevard Community College has a campus in Cocoa. Nearby college also include Barry University, Florida Institute of Technology, or the University of Central Florida.
