Devons Glen is a subdivision of Melbourne, Florida, and is located in ZIP code 32940. It’s between the north-south major thoroughfares of I-95 and US 1, and the east-west streets of Viera Boulevard and North Wickham Road.
Situated in the north part of Melbourne, Devons Glen is comprised of three main streets, all of which end in cul-de-sacs: Ashbury Avenue, Falling Leaf Place, and Foxridge Place. Access to the subdivision is via Spyglass Spring Drive. The late-model homes sit on small, landscaped lots with the small backyards fronting lakes or undeveloped land. Sidewalks along the streets permit easy walking in this neighborhood. A mix of dining establishments, retail and other businesses, and office buildings dot North Wickham Road.
Located approximately 60 miles southeast of Orlando, Melbourne is situated on the Space Coast, so named because of nearby Kennedy Space Center, where activities, include public viewing of space ship launches. Melbourne has two downtown business districts as the result of the merger of two smaller communities. Downtown Eau Gallie is an arts district, and Historic Downtown Melbourne includes retail and 26 eating and drinking establishments within four-blocks.
For recreation and nature, white sandy beaches abound just a short drive east to the Atlantic shore. Closer to Devons Glen is Wickham Park, which features a 1.5 mile drive that winds through the park’s open areas, pine woods and lakes, and is used for walking, jogging, and cycling. There are also three fishing lakes, swimming lakes, a .25 stationed exercise trail, nature trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, horseshoe pits, an archery range, volleyball courts, a dog park, a playground, multipurpose and soccer fields, horse trails, and a horse stable.
