Crystal Lake is a neighborhood in the Port Orange, Florida area. Crystal Lake is located to the east of Old Kings Road and to to south of Big Tree Road.
One of the bigger attractions near Crystal Lake is the Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens. The park was given to the area as a gift by Saxton Lloyd in 1963. It is billed as an area where tourists and others can see the natural flora and fauna in Florida.
Located on Old Sugar Mill Road, there is a nature trail that leads near an old 16th century sugar mill. Sugar Mill is a non-profit organization that does not charge admission, but does ask for donations.
The schools in the area are a mixture of public elementary and secondary schools and are located within a mile of Crystal Lake, as well as three private Christian high schools.
Is it easy to walk around Crystal Lake? While a car is the preferred method of getting around, it is still possible to walk to many of the shops and stores in the Crystal Lake area.
There are several bars and pizza shops located within a two-mile radius of Crystal Lake. A Domino’s Pizza location is among the better-known chains with some other local pizza places as well. Jack’s Stadium Sports Bar is one of the more popular bars in the Crystal Lake area. There is also a Publix Grocery store as well as a Walmart in the vicinity.
