The Daytona Gardens neighborhood is in an ideal location for students enrolled or anticipating enrollment at Bethune-Cookman University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or Daytona State College.

Bordered by West International Speedway Boulevard to the north, South Street to the south, North Lincoln Street to the east, and Jean Street to the west, the neighborhood’s central location provides residents access to miles of beach, numerous bars and restaurants, attractions and the Daytona International Speedway.

The Daytona International Speedway is one of Florida’s best-known attractions providing year-round entertainment hosting a series of car racing competitions from NASCAR and Supercross to flat track competitions for motorcyclists. Local residents share in the excitement of the Thunder Fan Fest and speed week activities prior to the running of the annual Daytona 500 celebrating its 53rd year in 2011.

During spring break, Daytona Beach is a favorite destination location for students celebrating a break from school, converging on the city for a week of fun in the sun.

Residents of Daytona Gardens have numerous choices in outdoor recreation that include boating, fishing and hiking at Tiger Bay State Forest and Tomoka Wildlife Management Area located to the west of the neighborhood. To the east, residents have miles of pristine beach and the Atlantic, a boardwalk, numerous bars and restaurants, specialty shops and an abundance of hotel accommodations for weekend getaways.

For additional outdoor recreation three golf clubs, the Riviera Country Club, Indigo Lakes Golf Club and Club at Pelican Bay, offer memberships to golfing enthusiasts.

For day trips out of town, Highway A1A runs along the eastern coastline that takes residents to historical St. Augustine, the oldest city in the US to the north, and towards Miami and Key West to the south.
