The oceanside city of Pacifica has been casually called the most beautiful coastal town in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Westview neighborhood of Pacifica, set in San Mateo County, California, is the neighborhood second-closest to Pacifica’s northern boundary. Westview boundaries include Milagra Ridge County Park, Skyline Boulevard, and Hickey Boulevard.
The Westview neighborhood consists of houses, apartments, condominiums, and mobile homes. More than half of the homes are owner-occupied. Residents are mostly families.
Nearby highways include 1, 35, 280, and 507. Although the neighborhood is not directly served by major pubic transportation, residents and tourists have access to BART, CalTrain and SamTrans in Daly City, San Bruno, and Millbrae. The flexibility of public transportation means residents have access to Bay Area restaurants, major shopping, events, and tourist attractions. It also allows tourists car-free travel to popular, family-friendly Pacifica attractions, beaches, and parks.
The neighborhood is close to local parks, state parks, and a national park. These parks and beaches include Milagra Ridge County Park, Linda Mar Beach, Graywhale Cove State Beach, Rockaway Beach, Sharp Park Beach, San Bruno Mountain State and County Park, Montara State Beach-McNee Ranch, and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
For golfers, Sharp Park offers the Sharp Park Golf Course, which also offers an archery range.
To protect its rare native plants, Mori Point in Sharp Park has an on-leash dog park.
Other family-friendly attractions close to Westview include the Pacifica Pier, Pacifica Center for Arts, Pacifica Skate Park, Alcatraz, Palace of Fine Arts, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, and Golden Gate Bridge.
Locally, shopping can be found at the Linda Mar Shopping Center, Westlake Shopping Center, and St. Francis Square. Shopping outside of Pacifica includes the Serramonte Center and the Shops at Talforan.
