The Villas is a moderately populated, small neighborhood located at the busy intersection of Interstate 280 Sinclair Freeway and Highway 17, allowing residents to have easy access to all the major attractions and business of San Jose. It has an area of 0.095 square miles and fewer than 308 residents.
Cultural opportunities abound in the community and its surrounding areas. The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum is a little over a mile northeast of The Villas, as is the Rosicrucian Park. The museum is about Ancient Egypt and was formed by the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis. Other museums within a three-mile radius of the neighborhood include the Winchester Mystery House, the Harris Lass Historic Museum, the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, the Triton Museum of Art, and the San Jose Museum of Art.
The Villas neighborhood is very family-friendly. It is served by some of the best schools which are within walking distance of the community: Ballard Montessori, Monroe Middle School, Shalom Christian Academy, Chandler Tripp School, and Benjamin Corey Elementary School.
Many college students also call The Villas home. The National Holistic Institute is in the neighborhood, as is National University. Westmed College and the San Jose Computer Academy are also in the community. Santa Clara University is only two miles north of the neighborhood.
