With its tree-lined streets, refreshing greenery, and sprawling lawns, Stratford Gardens is a picturesque neighborhood in Sunnyvale. It lies just a few miles northwest of San Jose in the city of Sunnyvale. Most of the homes in the neighborhood are single-family, detached units. They tend to be medium to large in size, and many homes have privacy fences. The style of homes range greatly, from hip, ranch-style homes to classic, two-story American homes to bungalows.
Most of the streets of Stratford Gardens have paved sidewalks, where you can often see early morning joggers, as well as dog walkers. In fact, the neighborhood is very dog-friendly. Fun is always nearby in Stratford Gardens. The Sunnyvale Skate Park is less than two miles northeast of the neighborhood. The Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club is within walking distance from the Stratford Garden Community, and it hosts local talent and national headliners. Golfland USA is an area amusement within walking distance to the southeast of the neighborhood.
Cultural attractions are in no short supply in the Stratford Gardens neighborhood and surrounding areas. The Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum is within very easy walking distance southeast of the community. The somber, yet picturesque Skylawn Memorial Park is also a short distance away.
The Lace Museum is within walking distance of Stratford Gardens. The Sands Mechanical Museum, the Sunnyvale Historical Museum, the Cupertino Historical Society & Museum, the Computer History Museum, and the California History Center are all within a three-mile radius of Stratford Gardens.
