The Stanford Hills community in Menlo Park is a small neighborhood. The entire area covers less than a quarter of a mile. Streets in the neighborhood include Anderson Way, Santa Cruz Avenue, Sand Hill Road, Alpine Road, Campbell Lane, and Branner Drive.
This California neighborhood has several amenities in spite of its small size. For example, Stanford Hills Park, where families can enjoy afternoons out in shaded picnic areas or an afternoon walk, is in the area. The Stanford Hills neighborhood also offers easy access to the Sharon Heights Shopping Center, which is home to a grocery, a coffee shop, and the Kegatsu Japanese restaurant, among other retailers.
Families who have school-aged children will appreciate the fact that the Oak Knoll Elementary School and the La Entrada Middle School are both just slightly more than half mile away. Palo Alto High School is just over two miles from the neighborhood, while Stanford University is a commute of a little less than two miles.
Because Stanford Hills is located between Route 82 and Interstate 280, there are many additional activities that can be easily reached from this neighborhood. The Jasper Ridge Biological Reserve, Los Altos Hills, and Arastradro Regional Preserve are all easily accessible.
Less than five miles from Stanford Hills are the Palo Alto Art Center and the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo. Other nearby museums include the Museum of American Heritage and the Computer History Museum.
This is an ideal neighborhood for those who prefer to live in a suburb that offers plenty of walking areas but still provides the amenities and cultural opportunities offered in a large city.
