Sharon Heights is a neighborhood in Menlo Park, California, in the 24025 and 24027 zip codes. The borders of the neighborhood are Sand Hill Road, and Atherton Avenue on the south; Alameda and Selby Lane on the east; Stockbridge Avenue on the northwest; and the I-280 on the southwest. This is a heavily wooded neighborhood built to accommodate the hilly terrain. It’s a great family neighborhood with exceptionally pretty landscaping with loads of flowering plants, and bushes. The housing options are mixed including several apartment complexes, condos, and lovely single-family detached homes.
Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club is right in the middle of this neighborhood. It is a Platinum Club, designated one of the top 100 clubs in America, that was designed by Jack Fleming. It is a membership club, with a dress code that has swimming, fitness, and tennis in addition to championship golf.
One of Menlo Park’s prettiest parks is Sharon Park. This small park of under 10 acres manages to provide plenty of activities. A small children’s play area, lots of paved walkways, and a pond with a great fountain are offered. Ducks and koi share the pond and fascinate the children. Shaded tables make this a favorite picnic spot and the gazebo attracts wedding parties.
Horse Park at Woodside is a not-for-profit equestrian center located on more than 270 acres close to Sharon Heights. This area is dedicated to all things equestrian, and members can also walk their dogs here. The extensive trails join with the local regional trails. Shows and events take place here throughout the year.
Sharon Heights Shopping Center is located in the southeast corner of the neighborhood. There is a Safeway grocery store, a Starbucks coffee, and lots of other small stores.
