The small community of Calvert is just off Interstate 280. It’s in western San Jose. As one of the more trendy places to live, Calvert can be a little crowded at times, but it is well worth the trouble.
Easy access to the Cupertino Square Shopping Center is certainly an appealing feature for Calvert residents, as the center is nearly within walking distance. There are a number of micro-parks in the area, as well. Although they are mostly unnamed and too small to hold much in the way of amenities, they represent a commitment to free space not always seen elsewhere in Santa Clara County.
Because I-280 is literally within a quarter-mile from Calvert, it is easy to make the five-minute drive to the center of San Jose, even while all of Cupertino is immediately available to you. This dual access makes Calvert especially valuable for those who enjoy both places on a regular basis.
There are a number of shops alongside Stevens Creek Boulevard that aren’t ordinarily traveled by most of those who come into Cupertino from the interstate. Some of the best restaurants in the entire city are on Stevens Creek Boulevard, though most people don’t realize it. These restaurants are regularly featured in the local newspapers as top dining locations.
Living in Calvert can be a great experience. If you’re only now looking into the area, be sure to check it out thoroughly.
